Man’s body found in Perche Creek

The Boone County Sheriff's Department said a man's body was discovered in Perche Creek on Tuesday.

Emergency dispatchers received a call just before noon from a person who reported finding the body in the Missouri River, the sheriff's department said in a news release. Boone County firefighters, the sheriff's department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol pulled the man from Perche Creek near the river, according to the release.

The body was sent to the Boone County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. The sheriff's department said the man has not been identified and the time, cause and location of his death has not been determined.
