ARADE DAM, Portugal (AP) — Portuguese police aided by German and British officers have resumed their search for Madeleine McCann, the British child who disappeared in the country’s southern Algarve region 16 years ago. Some 20 officers with rakes and hoe-like tools on Tuesday began raking and poking land near the Arade reservoir, located about 50 kilometers (30 miles) from Praia da Luz, where the 3-year-old was last seen alive. A couple of firefighters were seen on the reservoir in a dinghy. Madeleine’s disappearance stirred worldwide interest for several years, with reported sightings stretching as far away as Australia.
