Russia-Ukraine War: What to know on Day 6 of Russian assault
By The Associated Press
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has entered its sixth day, with Russian forces stepping up their attacks on several cities. Among them Kharkiv, where Russian shelling struck several buildings in the center of Ukraine’s second-largest city on Tuesday, killing at least six people and injuring several others. The massive convoy of Russian tanks and armored vehicles heading for the capital of Kyiv is far bigger than initially thought, with satellite images showing it occupying much of a 40-mile stretch of road. It was no more than 17 miles from central Kyiv on Monday. Meanwhile, the Russian economy is paying a price, with Western sanctions causing the ruble to tumble and leading some major companies to pull out of Russian investments.
