Kansas City police ID man killed Sunday morning shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Kansas City police have identified a man killed in a weekend shooting a block south of Cypress Park in the eastern part of the city. Police say 22-year-old Dillion Simmons died from his injuries. Officers called to a home in the area around 4:15 a.m. Sunday found Simmons inside with gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced Simmons dead at the scene. Police have not announced any arrests in the case.
