Exchange of gunfire in St. Louis kills 2, injures 2

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Two men are dead and two others are hospitalized after a gun battle in north St. Louis. Police say the shootings happened Monday night when two groups of men started shooting at each other. One of the injured men is in critical condition. The other has injuries not believed to be life-threatening. No arrests have been made and police are urging anyone with information to come forward. Homicides are down significantly in St. Louis this year. The police department’s website says the city had recorded 152 killings prior to Monday, down from 212 at the same time in 2020.
