Interstate 70 closed in western Kansas as snow moves in

KMIZ

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — The Kansas Department of Transportation says Interstate 70 is closed from Goodland to the Colorado border because of winter weather conditions in Colorado. Several other highways in northwest Kansas are closed in anticipation of heavy snow in some areas. Goodland and other parts of western Kansas are under a winter storm warning until 5 p.m. Forecasters say some areas of western Kansas could receive up to 8 inches of snow. The Kansas Highway Patrol said troopers in western Kansas were working several crashes because of low visibility and poor road conditions.
