Inspections yield multiple violations for downtown Jefferson City sports bar
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ) -
Inspections from the Jefferson City Environmental Health Department visited more than three dozen eateries in January.
Here's a look at all of the January inspection reports.
One of the eateries that had two visits from the health department was J. Pfenny's Sports Grill and Pub.
The sports bar on High Street in Jefferson was handed a total of seven core, or non-critical violations, and one priority violation during the inspections.
The first inspection on Jan. 13 resulted in four core and one priority violations. Inspectors noticed the following violations inside the restaurant:
- Leaking roof coming into the kitchen/dish station area
- Food items in a cooler above the proper temperature range
- The table used to make pizza was being 'iced' to control its temperature.
- The table used to make pizza needed to be repaired
- Freezer shelf coming apart
- Dish machine does not reach the proper sanitation temperature
- Missing bolts
- Floor seams were not sealed/welded in the dish station
- Women's restroom had an out of order toilet stall present
- Men’s restroom stall was missing a toilet seat
- Women's restroom's sinks only had cold water, even after the inspectors tried to continuously run the hot water faucets
The follow-up inspection was completed two weeks later, on Jan. 27. According to the online inspection reports, the following violations still had not been fixed:
- Leaking roof coming into the kitchen/dish station area
- The table used to make pizza needed to be repaired
- Freezer shelf coming apart
- Women's restroom's sinks only had cold water, even after the inspectors tried to continuously run the hot water faucets
- Missing bolts
- Floor seams were not sealed/welded in the dish station
