Tracking increasing heat and humidity this weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and mild, with lows around 70 degrees and a light southwest breeze.

TOMORROW: Sunny, with highs near 90 and a heat index up to 100 degrees.

EXTENDED: Dangerous heat will move in this weekend, pushing the heat index into the triple digits for several days. An ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day has been issued from Sunday through Tuesday for a heat index up to 105 each day. Rain chances will be next to zero this weekend. Take frequent breaks in the AC, limit strenuous outdoor activity, and stay hydrated during this heat wave. A cold front will finally arrive late Tuesday, bringing relief and rain chances.
