‘Multiple’ officers injured in porch collapse during Randolph County SWAT raid

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

"Multiple" officers were injured Tuesday morning when a porch collapsed while a SWAT team was serving a warrant in Randolph County.

The Randolph County Sheriff's Office wrote in a news release that the team was serving a high-risk warrant at 402 Vaunita St. in Huntsville when the collapsed occured. The release did not say how many officers were injured, but said multiple officers were taken to hospitals for treatment.

None of the injuries were life-threatening, the sheriff's office says.

The reason for the porch collapse is being investigated, according to the release.

The U.S. Marshals were with the SWAT Team -- comprising officers from the Moberly Police Department, sheriff's office and the North Missouri Drug Task Force.

The release did not provide the reason for the warrant being served.
