Jefferson City brings in former Tiger as new girls basketball coach

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Jefferson City school district announced the hiring of Morgan Eye Scott as the new head coach of the girls' basketball program.

Scott spent the past season coaching at William Woods University, but had a five-year stint with the Hickman Kewpies leading up to that where she helped rejuvenate the program. Under her watch, the Kewpies earned five tournament championships, and earned multiple runner-up finishes, while making it to three district championship games.

Before getting into the coaching game, she was a lights out shooter for Mizzou. Scott holds the record for the most three's made in a single game for the Tigers with 11, and has the two highest marks for three's in a single season.
