MSHP crash report provides more details about Tuesday morning UTV crash

AUDRAIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people were hurt early Tuesday morning after a UTV crash near the Audrain and Boone County line.

A 45-year-old Centralia man was seriously hurt and a 22-year-old Centralia woman was moderately hurt after a UTV crash in Audrain County just after 3 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report states that the man was driving a 2024 Polaris Razor Pro R4 UTV with the woman on North Rangeline Road south of Audrain County Rd. 912.

Troopers said the UTV crossed the road and went off the left side. The man overcorrected, causing the UTV to flip over and slide into a stop sign.

The man and woman were taken to University Hospital by ambulance for treatment of serious injuries.

The report states neither of them were wearing a helmet or seatbelt.

According to a Boone County Joint Communications alert sent early Tuesday morning, part of the 20000 block of Rangeline Road near the Columbia Regional Airport was closed for a crash.

An ABC 17 News reporter on the scene saw a large UTV flipped on its side, two Boone County Sheriff Deputy vehicles and one Missouri State Highway Patrol vehicle.

A Boone County Sheriff's deputy and a Trooper were seen investigating the scene, looking at tire tracks and searching the flipped UTV.
