WEATHER ALERT DAY: Severe weather threat ending, damage reports coming in

An ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day has expired after a line of severe thunderstorms rolled through and continues to track through St. Louis and Illinois. A confirmed tornado hit Rolla shortly before 8:00 with reports of damage streaming in Friday night.

Power outages continue to increase area-wide following strong winds Friday afternoon then evening storms.

Winds gusts reached 74 mph in Jefferson City as severe storms rolled through, and Sedalia reported at 61 mph gust.
