3 adults, 3 minors arrested in Jefferson City armed robbery

JEFFESRON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Jefferson City Police Department arrested six people in connection to an armed robbery on Monday night in the 300 block of Benton Street.

According to police, two victims of the robbery said that multiple people entered their car and robbed them at gunpoint. Officers who responded to the scene established a perimeter around a nearby home and detained several people.

According to a release from the department as the investigation continued, detectives were called to the location, and three juveniles and three adults were arrested. Six guns were discovered, three of which were reported as stolen.

Court documents have identified three of the suspects as Tyvis Price, 19, of Jefferson City; Joseph Tucker, 18, of Jefferson City; and Antonio Williams, 18, of St. Louis.

Price was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping, unlawful use of a weapon and accessory to armed criminal action.

Tucker was charged with accessory to first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping, accessory to unlawful use of a weapon, illegal gun possession and accessory to armed criminal action.

Williams was charged with first-degree accessory to robbery, first-degree accessory to kidnapping, unlawful use of a weapon and accessory to armed criminal action.

All three men are being held at the Cole County Jail without bond. Court dates have not been scheduled.

Court documents say that one of the victims was contacted by one of the juvenile defendants, who asked if he wanted to hang out with some female friends.

The victim brought the other victim with him, picked up Price, Tucker and the juvenile, and went to a Walmart, the statement says. The victims stayed in the car while the others went inside the store, the statement says. When they returned, they allegedly told the victims the females could no longer meet up with them and they wanted to go to Benton Street, court documents say.

The probable cause statement alleges that when they got to the street, Tucker and the juvenile left and went inside a house for ten minutes while Price stayed in the car.

While the juvenile was inside the house, Price allegedly pointed a gun at one of the victims and demanded their property, the statement says. The victim had a handgun and handed it over to Price, the statement says. Court documents say that Price then took the gun he was pointing at the person and pulled the trigger, which made a clicking sound but did not fire.

Shortly after the pair of victims claimed that a juvenile emerged with Williams and the other suspects, who were each armed, according to the statement. The suspects then demanded that the victims exit the car and grabbed them by their clothes, court documents allege. As they were dragging the victims inside, police say that the suspects suddenly let go of the victim's clothes due to a car was passing by, which allowed the victims to run away and call the police.
