Columbia postpones curbside trash, recycling pickup

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

City of Columbia Solid Waste postponed trash and recycling pickup Friday because of the weather.

Solid Waste customers can leave their carts at the curb and the city will pick them up Saturday, the City of Columbia says in a Facebook post.

Monday trash customers can also leave their carts out for collection Saturday but their recycling will not be picked up.

The National Weather Service reported 3.3 inches of new snow at 6 a.m. Friday at Columbia Regional Airport. The snowfall began Thursday night.

The weather service also reported about 4.5 inches in southwest Columbia at 8:30 a.m. Snowfall had left the area by early afternoon.
