Weak tornado confirmed in Montgomery County Monday night

The National Weather Service in St. Louis confirmed on Tuesday that a small, short lived tornado caused damage in northeastern Montgomery County Monday night.

Strong storms rolled through that part of Mid-Missouri around 9:30. The EF-0 tornado lasted about 2 minutes and had a maximum wind speed of 65 mph.

The path was about 2 miles long as the circulation started about 4 miles west of New Truxton and ended about 2 miles north of Flint Hill.

The tornado didn't hit any structures, but caused tree and crop damage that was picked up by radar, as shown in the tornado debris signature on ABC 17 Stormtrack Doppler Radar below.

Another EF-0 tornado was reported in northwestern St. Charles Co. shortly after, with winds up to 75 mph. That tornado had a 6 mile long path, causing damaging to trees, a pole barn, and roof damage to homes between Foristell and Flint Hill.
