Russellville man seriously hurt after motorcycle crash with deer in Cole County

COLE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Russellville man was seriously hurt after he hit a deer while riding a motorcycle in Cole County at around 6:45 p.m. Saturday, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report states that Lyle Jobe, 58, of Russellville, was riding a 2008 Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle west on US 54 at New Church Road when he hit a deer in the roadway. The motorcycle went off the right side of the road before coming to a stop on its left side.

Jobe was seriously injured from the crash and was flown to University Hospital for treatment.

According to the report, Jobe was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
