Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld will all close ahead of Milton

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Orlando’s tourism machine began grinding to a halt with at least two major theme parks and the main airport announcing closures ahead of Hurricane Milton’s expected hit as a major storm in Florida. Universal says it will close its theme parks and entertainment district Wednesday afternoon and remain closed Thursday. The resort joins Orlando International Airport, which says it will cease operations Wednesday morning. Walt Disney World remains open but says it will would monitor the weather and adjust accordingly. The Orlando area is the most visited destination in the United States, attracting 74 million tourists last year.
