NEW YORK (AP) — The reported altercation at Arlington National Cemetery involving former President Donald Trump’s staff has come less than two weeks after Trump sparked outrage after he seemed to dismiss the Medal of Honor, the military’s highest decoration for service members. Trump’s appearance at Arlington, the reports of an altercation and his recent comments drew admonishment from some veterans groups, but it was far from the first that time veterans or the families of service members have criticized the former president for disparaging remarks, even has he has maintained support from veteran voters.
