U.S. Coast Guard reopens the Missouri River

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The U.S. Coast Guard reopened the Missouri River on Sunday, according to a post by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on X.

The Coast Guard restricted access to the Missouri River between St. Charles and Kansas City on Friday due dangerous conditions from high water levels.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is encouraging boaters to remain alert in the water, warning that debris in the river can create navigational hazards and making it difficult to maneuver around.
