Man on motorcycle seriously injured in Cole County crash

COLE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man riding a motorcycle was seriously injured Friday in a crash on Missouri Route 179 north of High Point Road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

According to the report, Robert Edmonds, 48, of Jefferson City drove a 2008 Harley Davidson Road King around 11 p.m. Friday along with passenger Sydney Ward, 33, of Lee Summit.

Edmonds was unable to make it around a curve and ran off the road, according to the report.

Edmonds suffered serious injuries from the crash and was taken to University Hospital by Mercy Life Line. Ward suffered minor injuries from the crash and refused treatment at the scene, according to the report.

The report states neither of them were wearing a helmet.
