Home considered ‘total loss’ after fire in Osage Beach Saturday morning

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. (KMIZ)

A home in Osage Beach is considered a total loss after a fire Saturday morning, according to the Osage Beach Fire Protection District.

The department posted on social media Saturday afternoon that crews were dispatched to a fire in the area of Balboa Court at 6:46 a.m. According to the post, crews arrived on scene within seven minutes to find a more than 4,000 square foot home under construction about 85% involved.

Crews were on scene for nearly four hours.

A water supply had to bring water to the scene due to not having fire hydrants in the area, the post states.Tankers were also used from Osage Beach and Mid County, as well as assistance from off duty personnel from Osage Beach.

No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. The home is a total loss, according to the post.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Osage Beach Fire District Fire Marshal's Office.
