One woman injured, three in custody after shooting in downtown Columbia Sunday morning

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

One woman was injured after a shooting in downtown Columbia Sunday morning, according to the Columbia Police Department.

According to a release from the department, police responded to a disturbance around 3 a.m. in the 10 block of South Ninth Street. The incident began as a physical disturbance near the intersection of South Ninth Street and Broadway at 2 a.m., the release states.

One woman was shot in a vehicle near the disturbance and taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Tanikya Dunn,19 of Sikeston, Kalvin Johnson, 20 of Columbia and Jearlissia Jackson, 18, of Columbia were all arrested for their alleged roles in the shooting.

Dunn was arrested for first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Johnson was arrested for three counts of first-degree assault, the unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.

Jackson was arrested on a count of first-degree assault.
