JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Route W (Airport Road) overpass bridge over Highway 54 in Jefferson City is now open, according to a Tuesday press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The bridge reopened Wednesday, ahead of schedule. The bridge closed on April 8 and was expected to be closed for repairs for about 60 days, but it only took 15, the release says.

The construction is part of the Highway 54 Improvement Project in Jefferson City, the release says.
