Traffic impacts expected ahead of Mizzou football game Saturday against LSU
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Saturday, the University of Missouri Tigers will face off against Louisiana State University for their second sold-out game of the season, and traffic impacts and delays are expected in the area throughout the game.
Heavy traffic flow can be seen around the stadium, specifically at the Providence Rd. and Stadium Blvd. intersection.
According to a map from the universities website, multiple road closures will be in effect before and during game time.
Mick Deaver Drive, located next to the stadium will be closed from lot J to lot K.
If you have a pass for lots B or J, MU requests you enter through the Mick Deaver Drive and Stadium Boulevard intersection.
Research Park Drive will have closings stretching from lot R to Lot Y.
While the traffic flow map may seem inconvenient, it will help provide a more safer and efficient game day experience.
Those attending will need to keep parking in mind as increasing crowds can cause parking spots to fill up fast.
Several public parking spaces will be open in downtown Columbia.
There will also be free parking at various parking garages downtown and one on Hitt Street.
General public parking costs $35.
The university has also provided additional maps regarding parking information, shuttle routes and public parking.
