COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A fire caused heavy damage to a home north of Columbia but no one was injured.

Flames were coming through the roof of the house at 3055 W. Botner Road when firefighters arrived, said Gale Blomenkamp with the Boone County Fire Protection District. Firefighters were working to extinguish the flames at about 9:30 a.m.

Other details such as how the fire started were not immediately available.
