Tracking widespread rain with late week chances of snow
Today: Afternoon highs warm into the mid-50s as widespread showers continue to make their way across Mid-Missouri. Winds remain strong with gust up to 45 mph possible prompting a wind advisory until 3 AM on Wednesday.
Tonight: Overnight lows cool the lower 40s as winds remain out of the southwest. Showers begin to exit the region by 10 PM with a few rumbles of thunder possible just before.
Extended: Wednesday sees highs back into the mid-50s before an approaching cold front begins to try to cool us down heading into Thursday and Friday. Late Wednesday night rainfall enters the region. This rain will turn over to a wintry mix as temperatures fall into early Thursday morning. Low to no impacts are expected Thursday morning thanks to warmer ground temperatures but areas to the north could see from a dusting up to 1" on grassy and elevated surfaces. Temperatures then head toward the 60 degree mark by Sunday with sunnier conditions into the weekend.
