FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

Fulton Fire Department responded to a house fire just after 6 p.m. Friday night.

The single-story house fire started in the basement, according to the fire department. It caused about $60,000 in damage to the house in the 1200 block of Kathy Street.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found all the residents of the house were already outside, but smoke was coming out of the house.

Fulton Fire Department says firefighters were able to get the fire under control, although it was an "aggressive fire attack."

The Missouri State Fire Marshal estimated $60,000 in damage was caused by smoke and flames.

The American Red Cross is now helping the residents recover personally from the fire, but there were no casualties.
