Columbia Water & Light crews restore power to customers.
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The power is back on for hundreds of Columbia Water & Light customers following an issue at a substation Friday morning.
The department posted to Twitter that a problem at the Hinkson Creek substation left nearly 3,000 customers without electricity. More specific details about the issue at the substation weren't immediately available.
We have about 1000 customers still without power this morning. An issue at the Hinkson Creek substation caused an outage for nearly 3000, crews were able to restore power in most areas. Crews are working to determine the cause. We will have power restored as soon as possible.

A spokesperson said about 1,000 customers are still in the dark as of 7:25 a.m. Since the Twitter post, the department reports crews have restored the power to the remaining customers.
According to Water & Light, crews are working to find out what caused the power outage.
