EDITOR'S NOTE: This story has been updated to reflect the car was hit by an SUV.

COOPER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Troopers responded to a crash Sunday night in Cooper County that left four teenagers hurt.

The crash happened on Route AA at Round Hill Drive around 10:30 p.m., according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a car driven by Caden J. Pearcy, 18, of Bunceton, rolled over after he failed to yield at the intersection and was hit by an SUV.

Emergency crews took Pearcy, two 15-year-old Russellville girls, and a 17-year-old Tipton boy by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. MU Health Care told ABC 17 News on Monday morning that Pearcy had been treated and released.

Everyone in the car was wearing a seat belt, according to the crash report.

Troopers said the driver of the SUV wasn't hurt in the crash.

Troopers cited Pearcy for DWI and failure to yield but he was released for medical treatment, according to a highway patrol online arrest report.
