Police officers in Sedalia are looking for a second person wanted in a recent car wash burglary.

According to the Sedalia Police Department, surveillance cameras caught two people stealing $188 in money and property from the Hurricane Bay Car Wash off Winchester Drive on July 11 around 12:15 a.m.

The suspects reportedly caused around $900 in damage to the business.

Officers investigated a second burglary at the car wash on July 11 around 11:30 p.m. Police said the suspects stole about $1,400 and caused $12,000 in damage.

On July 22, police officers questioned Walter P. Nicholson, 28, of Sedalia, at the Pettis County Jail about unrelated charges. Nicholson admitted to the burglaries at the car wash when he was questioned by officers, according to the police department.

Police said Nicholson faces possible charges of second-degree burglary, first-degree property damage, and stealing. Officers are still searching for the second suspect from the first burglary at the car wash.

Police ask anyone with information about the suspect to call the Sedalia Police Department.
