Surveillance video shows moments before and after Clark Lane shooting

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Surveillance footage given to ABC 17 News shows the moment one man was shot in an altercation outside the Cracker Barrel on Clark Lane.

Columbia police are continuing to investigate Sunday.

ABC 17 News had crews at the scene Saturday night and was able to get surveillance video from a nearby business Sunday morning.

Columbia police received a shots fired call at around 7:40 p.m. Saturday for the Cracker Barrel on Clark Lane. When they arrived they found evidence of a shooting but no victim. Officers later located one male victim in the 4500 block of Rice Road.

In the video, you see two cars and two men standing by the cars. A few seconds later it appears the one man grabs something from the one car, then two gunshots, followed by two more. The video shows the one man that was shot crawling on the ground before a car comes back and picks him up.

Surveillance video ABC 17 News obtained from a source who wished to remain anonymous shows the shooting in the parking lot of Cracker Barrel in Columbia. WARNING: Video contains graphic violence.

It appears in the video the two people seemed to know one another and officers tell us there is no threat to the community at this time.

"There is no suspect information at this time. It is believed to be no danger to the public for now," said Christian Tabak, Public Information Specialist with CPD.

The victim received medical attention from both CPD and the Boone County Sheriff's Office when he was found on Rice road. Information on the victim's condition is not available at this time.

CPD is asking anyone with information to contact them and to stay anonymous contact crime stoppers at 573-875-tips.
