Two separate crashes on Wednesday morning temporarily close Highway 63

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Two morning crashes three hours apart slowed traffic on Highway 63 on Wednesday.

At 4:09 a.m., the Columbia Fire Department responded to a crash at Highway 63 at Grindstone Parkway.
The first Columbia Fire crew arrived just before 4:20 a.m. found a dump truck on its side in the northbound lanes of the roadway. It appeared the truck had been hauling gravel as there was a sizable amount of gravel in the roadway. There were no injuries associated with the incident.

The northbound lanes of Highway 63 were closed for approximately 1-1/2 hours.

Just before 7 a.m., the Columbia Fire Department responded again to a crash at Highway 63 at Grindstone Parkway.
Crews arriving at 7:03 a.m. found two people injured in a vehicle in the northbound lanes of the road.
The two people were taken to a hospital for evaluation/ treatment.
The northbound lanes of Highway 63 were closed for approximately 20 minutes.
