Tracking afternoon showers Wednesday and Thursday before a dryer weekend
Today: Showers and storms will begin to enter Mid-Missouri from the southwest leading to increases in rainfall totals. The afternoon high tops out into the upper '50s.
Tonight: Showers and storms become widespread throughout the evening hours into the morning hours. Overnight lows bottom out into the mid '50s.
Extended: An incoming warm-front moves into Central Missouri Thursday afternoon leading to warmer temperatures and increased chances of widespread storms. The greatest threat with these storms will be strong winds and flash flooding. Rainfall totals will near 1.5" in Columbia with some areas to the southwest seeing nearly 2" in additional rain. A dryer weekend is in storms with a warm-up leading to next weeks highs into the '80s.
