Earth Day Festival held Sunday in Downtown Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia's annual Earth Day Festival was in full swing in Downtown Columbia Sunday after having restrictions in recent years during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sunday's festival ran from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Peace Park where community members came together to enjoy live music, food, vendors and more.

Part of the festival is what's known as "Eco Avenue" which is the block of Elm St. between 7th and 8th where booths of organizations working to promote a sustainable future are lined up.

This street is filled with information to empower you to make lifestyle changes that reduce your environmental impact.

The Eco Avenue vendors for 2022 included Boone County Storm Water Education, Climate Leaders at Mizzou, the Columbia Farmer's Market and about two dozen more.
