Mizzou’s Brown earns spot on All-SEC Second Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (KMIZ)

The SEC league coaches voted Mizzou forward Kobe Brown to its All-SEC Second Team on Tuesday.

Brown averaged 12.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game during the regular season. The junior was fourth in total rebounds in the league with 241 on the season.

The Huntsville native had five double-doubles while shooting 47.8% from the floor. Brown also shot 80% from the free-throw line.

Brown was MU's lone player recognized by the league in its postseason honors. Here's a full list of the awards.

MU will play Ole Miss on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Tampa Bay, Fla. If the Tigers win that game, they will get to take on LSU on Thursday in the second round of the SEC Tournament at 1 p.m. Here's a link to the full bracket.
