Mizzou wrestling wins 11th straight conference tournament title

TULSA, Okla. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou wrestling team clinched the Big 12 tournament championship on Sunday. It's the Tigers 11th straight conference tournament title - nine in the MAC and two in the Big 12.

MU had four wrestlers make it to the championship round, but only Keegan O'Toole won an individual conference title.

Here are the results from the finals.

  • 141 pounds: Allan Hart took 2nd place
  • 165 pounds: Keegan O'Toole took 1st place
  • 174 pounds: Peyton Mocco took 1st place
  • 184 pounds: Jeremiah Kent took 1st place

Here are some other notable finishers.

  • 157 pounds: Jarrett Jacques took 5th place
  • 197 pounds: Rocky Elam took 3rd place
  • 285 pounds: Zach Elam took 3rd place

Also on Sunday - head coach Brian Smith was named Big 12 coach of the year.
