Mizzou football gets set to open spring camp with plenty of newcomers
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Mizzou football team is gearing up for spring camp. The Tigers will open up practice on Friday as year three under head coach Eli Drinkwitz will officially get underway.
Several members of the team met with reporters on Monday afternoon, including Nate Peat. The former Rock Bridge running back transferred back home this offseason after spending three seasons at Stanford.
"It feels great," Peat said. "I knew this is the place I wanted to be."
Peat will re-unite with several former Bruin teammates, including one of his closest friends - Martez Manuel.
"I've always told him even when he was at Stanford last year like man, imagine how crazy it would be if we were here together," Manuel said. "It's really a dream come true. We're ready to put on for the 573 and have a great year."
In total, MU signed eight transfers this offseason. You can hear more from the Tigers below.
