Mizzou MBB loses to Vanderbilt on the road

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team lost to Vanderbilt 70-62 on Tuesday night.

MU trailed by as many as 11 points in the second half, but the Tigers came back to take a 58-57 lead with 4:52 to go in the game. Shortly after - Kobe Brown committed his fourth foul and went to the bench. When Brown re-entered the game, the damage was already done. The Commodores finished the game on a 13-4 run. Brown ended up fouling out with nine points and nine rebounds.

The SEC's leading scorer Scottie Pippen Jr. had a game-high 19 points for Vanderbilt.

Javon Pickett had a team-high 15 points in his return from injury. The senior had missed the last two games.

MU is now 9-14 overall and 3-7 in the SEC.

Up next - Mizzou will host Ole Miss on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the annual Rally For Rhyan game.
