Mizzou WBB falls to No. 13 Georgia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou women's basketball team lost its first home game of the season on Monday night. No. 13 Georgia beat the Tigers 72-62. MU has now dropped three straight games.

Mizzou cut the Bulldogs lead to 56-55 after Hayley Frank hit her third straight three-pointer with 4:38 to go in the game. Georgia immediately responded as Jenna Staiti put her team right back in front by four after a three-point play. The Bulldogs finished the game on a 16-7 run. Staiti had a team-high 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Aijha Blackwell finished with a game-high 27 points and 13 rebounds. She also drew 11 fouls. The junior was 9-of-14 from the free-throw line.

Hayley Frank had 18 points and brought down seven boards.

MU is now 13-5 overall and 2-3 in the SEC. Up next - MU will play at Vanderbilt on Thursday at 7 p.m.
