Boonville school district to use snow day on Tuesday to ‘regroup’
BOONVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)
Boonville R-I School District will use a snow day on Tuesday.
There will be no school on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Boonville Superintendent Dr. Sarah Marriott said in an email the district determined it needed to "regroup" on Tuesday.
"As the result of a culminationĀ of events such as upcoming winter weather, student and staff illness, and substitute shortages the Boonville District has determined we need to regroup onĀ TuesdayĀ and will institute a Snow Day," Marriott said.
Several other Mid-Missouri school districts have had to cancel classes or implement stricter COVID-19 protocols amid the latest surge in cases.
