COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Boone County firefighter Bryant Gladney was laid to rest Tuesday after a funeral service at the Hearnes Center.

After the funeral a long procession of emergency vehicles -- including ambulances, police, tow trucks and firetrucks -- wound through the middle of Columbia, heading through downtown on its way to the funeral home.

Gladney was killed Wednesday when a semi-truck hit his work SUV at the scene of a crash on Interstate 70.
