Preview “An Unbreakable Bond”
COLUMBIA, Mo.
Rickie Dunn is a standout running back and linebacker on the Battle High School football team. The junior is known for breaking tackles, but on Thursday night he's breaking his silence on his dad's murder.
Dunn is keeping his father's legacy alive with his presence on the football field. He makes plays on both sides of the ball just like his dad did for Hickman in the early 1990s.
Dunn said he does not know much about what happened on the night his father was murdered. He was only ten years old at the time, but he and his family are still very eager for answers. They're still hopeful police will catch the killer.
"It hurts me on the inside to not know who is behind the gun," said Dunn. "I feel like honestly my dad's close friends who was with him, they knew who did it, but they're not coming out to say it, and that just breaks me."
