Cardinals reportedly to announce new manager Monday

ST. LOUIS (KMIZ)

The St. Louis Cardinals are expected to hire Oliver Marmol as their new manager on Monday morning, according to The Athletic.

St. Louis announced it will hold a news conference on Monday at 10 a.m., but the team would not specify what it is about.

Marmol has been the Cardinals bench coach for the last three seasons, and he's been with the organization since 2017. St. Louis also drafted him as a player back in 2007.

Marmol will replace Mike Shildt, who was fired earlier this month.
