UPDATE: Police respond to armed robbery at a South Columbia gas station

Phillips 66 reported an armed robbery Oct. 10

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE: The Columbia Police department says the suspect is a man in the armed robbery and demanded money while displaying a handgun. The employees of the gas station gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash.

According to CPD, the suspect is approximately 5’8” and was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored pants.  The report says he was reportedly seen leaving the area in a later model Nissan Sentra.

Original Story: The Columbia Police Department says an armed robbery occurred at the Phillips 66 off Nifong Blvd. in South Columbia.

Police were called to the Phillips 66 at 101 E. Nifong Blvd around 3 a.m. Sunday morning.

Police responded to the scene around 3 a.m. this morning and while no suspect information is available, no injuries were reported.

Police say there have been multiple robberies in the area as of lately and checked in with multiple businesses Sunday morning.
