Two former Columbia College standouts team up to host youth basketball camp

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two former Columbia College basketball standouts teamed up to host a youth basketball camp on Wednesday afternoon.

Jackson Dubinski and Hank Matthews were out at Hickman High School. Their three-day camp runs until the end of the week. It's open to girls and boys in fourth through eighth grade.

"I grew up here, and I had people do this for me, and it's really cool to watch the kids grow," Dubinski said.

Matthews added, "There's no better place to be in the summer, I think, so we're just really looking forward to having a really good week and getting better."

Matthews and Dubinski have both continued their basketball careers since graduating from Columbia College. Dubinski is about to enter his third year playing professionally overseas. Meanwhile, Matthews recently accepted an assistant coaching position at Lincoln College in Lincoln, Ill.
