Woman in serious condition after being hit with an anchor on Mark Twain Lake

MONROE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

One woman is suffering from serious injuries after getting hit by anchor on Mark Twain Lake near Stoutsville.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol Incident Reports, 56-year-old Lisa Sherman of Hartsburg was taken to University Hospital for her injuries.

Troopers say the boat was driving with it's anchor down. When it accelerated, the anchor came up and hit Sherman.

There was no damage to the boat.
