SUNDAY UPDATES: Vaccination rate continues to slow down in Missouri
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported 184 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday, bringing the total up to 511,444 throughout the pandemic.
In addition, 65 new probable cases of the virus were found through antigen testing. Now, 87,938 probable cases have been found in the state.
No new deaths were reported on Sunday, keeping the total at 9,080 throughout the pandemic.
The state's positivity rate went up slightly to 4.3% Sunday.
In Missouri's healthcare system, 660 people are fighting COVID-19 in hospitals as of Sunday. Of those, 143 are in the ICU and 93 are on ventilators.
Vaccinations continue to slow down in the Show-Me State. The state reported May 21-27, the average number of daily doses was 12,280. That's the lowest it has been since January18.
About 41.7% of the state has been vaccinated against COVID-19, which is 2,558,045 Missourians.
Of those, 34.6% have finished the process, which is 2,123,537 people.
In total, 4,533,144 doses of the vaccine have been given out in Missouri.
