Police investigate attempted burglary at a south Columbia bank

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

No arrests have been made following an attempted burglary at a bank in south Columbia.

According to the Columbia Police Department, officers responded to an alarm at the First State Community Bank located at 300 Diego Ct. around 3:20 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said officers found an abandoned pickup truck on the west side of the bank chained to an ATM.

The machine was lying face down after it was pulled off of its concrete base, according to the news release.

Police said no money was taken from the ATM.
