Mizzou baseball blows big lead to Kansas

LAWRENCE, Kan. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou baseball team blew a late lead to Kansas on Tuesday night. The Jayhawks beat the Tigers 10-9.

MU was up comfortably most of the game, but Kansas scored eight runs in the 7th inning to take the lead. The Tigers could not answer in their final two at-bats.

This was the first meeting between Mizzou and Kansas on the diamond since May of 2012.

Mizzou is now 8-16 overall and 1-5 in the SEC. Up next - the Tigers will begin a home series with Texas A&M on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, the No. 17 Mizzou softball team beat Saint Louis University 10-4 on Tuesday. The Tigers are now 25-7 overall and 3-3 in the SEC. Up next - MU has a road series at South Carolina starting Thursday at 5 p.m.
