Highway 3 in Randolph County closed indefinitely due to slide impacting the road

MGN Online

HANNIBAL, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri Highway Three will remain closed indefinitely because a slide is affecting the road.

The closed-off section is in Randolph County between Highway 24 and Route BB.

MoDOT says that detour signs will direct drivers from Highway 24 to business Route 63.

The road will stay closed until the slope is stabilized and MoDOT crews can make necessary repairs.

“Rain continues to be a factor since it is spring, and we will continue to monitor the condition of the area,” said Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Brian Untiedt.
